Convert a schedule to a printable PDF
Drop the schedule and choose the paper. The Gantt chart is cut into pages, the name column is redrawn on each one, and every page carries a dated footer and its number.

This table, column by column
Check what each column holds before reading. A table read wrong does not show: it gives a plausible schedule that is false.

Comparison with another version
The open file is the earlier version. Drop the version to compare.
When to use it
The schedule has to go up on the site office wall, be attached to a meeting report, or be sent to someone who will not open a schedule file.
Or a plotter print is needed, on one very wide page, for the meeting room.
What this page does
- A4 to A0, portrait or landscape, or a single page at the exact size of the chart.
- The name column is redrawn on every page: a page on its own stays readable.
- A continuation marker says that a bar carries on onto the next page.
- The footer carries the schedule name, the print date, the scale and the source of the dates.
- The PDF is written here, byte by byte, with no third-party library.
What it does not do: The PDF is a print, not a working file: it does not import back into Project. The fonts used are the standard PDF fonts; a task name in a non-Latin script is not rendered yet.
What is read
- Microsoft Project XML, Primavera P6 XER, GanttProject .gan, a CSV or .xlsx table.
- The file's holidays and calendars, which shade non-working days on the chart.
No file is uploaded: the schedule is read by your browser, in this tab, and the page is not allowed to open a connection to any other site.
Frequently asked questions
- Which paper size should I choose?
- A3 landscape holds most construction schedules. Past 60 tasks, move to A1 or to the single page for a plotter.
- Is the Gantt chart in colour?
- It is in print colours: grey for bars, red for the critical path and the status date. No schedule state is painted green, because in this trade green reads as "on time".
- Can I print the file's dates instead of the recalculated ones?
- Yes, it is a setting in the workshop, and the PDF footer says which of the two was printed.
