Export a Gantt chart as an image

Drop the schedule, take the image. The PNG is drawn at twice the size so it stays readable once printed; the SVG stays vector and can be reworked in any layout tool.

Drop a schedule file

Microsoft Project XML, Primavera P6 XER, GanttProject .gan, CSV or .xlsx table, .mpp recognised. Or

When to use it

A chart has to go into a meeting report, a note, a presentation or an e-mail.

Or the house style requires rework: the SVG opens in Illustrator, Inkscape and Figma, and its text stays text.

What this page does

  • The PNG is drawn on a canvas, at twice the size: at scale 1, task names become unreadable once printed.
  • The SVG carries the same shapes, in vector form, with selectable text.
  • Both carry the schedule title and a dated footer.
  • The time scale can be set to day, week or month.

What it does not do: An image is not a working file. For a paginated print, take the PDF; for sortable data, the workbook. The PNG is produced by the browser: it does not exist on the command line.

What is read

  • Microsoft Project XML, Primavera P6 XER, GanttProject .gan, a CSV or .xlsx table.

No file is uploaded: the schedule is read by your browser, in this tab, and the page is not allowed to open a connection to any other site.

Frequently asked questions

PNG or SVG?
PNG to paste into a document and leave alone. SVG to rework the colours, the text or the crop.
Why is the image twice the size of the chart on screen?
So that it stays readable in print. A Gantt chart pasted into a report almost always ends up on paper.
